HISTORY & CURRENT EVENTS
Treesome was formed in 1995 as a 3 piece group. The group consisted of the following members: Michele Klinkman (Guitar, Keys and Vocals), Bernie Ball (Bass) and Rudy Maldinado (drums). Bernie & I were friends for years and played in a previous band together. We met Rudy one night at an Open Mike Night at a local club and formed Treesome. We played at many local bars that supported original artists in the Michigan down river area. In 1997 we released our first "un-official" demo tape. We did 1 interview on Henry Ford WHFR Radio Station then pretty much stopped playing out all together. After this happened, I dove into other interests such as hosting Karaoke, sitting in with other groups at bars doing solo acts, writing new songs and building a home recording studio. Currently, I am still fine tuning the art of home recording and plan to release another new CD by the end of 2007. Treesome still occasionally gets together and plays small venues. The recordings you will hear have been done at professional studios. As of now, the music on mp3.com has been recorded by all 3 members along with special guests (click here for a breakdown of who played on what).
BREAKING NEWS 7/12/07 - We are on an official Rock Contest through FOX 2 Detroit News partnered with DTE Energy. Please see the links page to support us with your vote.
9/1/07 - I will be doing a solo competition next week for the Showdown In Motown contest at the Magic Stick downtown Detroit on Wednesday, September 5th.

How in the world did you come up with the name Treesome? This is a question I get asked quite frequently so without further delay, here is the answer... I was struggling to make up a band name when we first got together. At first, I was going to use Threesome since there were 3 members. Then I started thinking about my childhood and remembered the good old Tree in my front yard that my family fought to save back in 1971 because the road crew wanted to cut it down. It was over 320 years old at the time and was used as a guide for the Indians (more information is on file with the city of Farmington in Michigan). I also love animals and nature. After considering all that, the name made good sense. See below pic of the 1971 Tree protest...
